Upgrade components
Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to give an added benefit or additional effect while the equipment is being utilized. They can be purchased from players or vendors, looted or obtained as rewards, or constructed with crafting materials. Upgrade items can be cosmetic effects as well as giving bonus attributes.
Infusions, inscriptions and enhancements are a type of upgrade components. They are generally not available for general use, and they can only be applied to ascending equipment or certain non-ascended weapons from the Factions campaign. Infusions, inscriptions, as well as enrichments can be recovered from equipment using an Infusion Extraction Device or saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.
Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items are able to be exchanged and reused while still attached to an item that they are upgrading. These upgrade items can be used to improve the quality of armor and weapon, without spending Dilithium. They can increase the chance that the item will be upgraded to a top quality upgrade.
Upgrade components can be added to an item, however, the original one is destroyed (except for legendaries and ascended equipment). Only upgraded items that have an identification level of 0 or more can be upgraded with upgrade components incorporated into them. Adding an upgrade to an item that is already equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the new item as it would appear in the game (for instance adding a Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can own up to three upgrade items at a time.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be an excellent accessory to any item. They provide unique benefits and boosts. Some glyphs can also increase the number of affixes that can be placed on an item, thereby increasing its overall power. These glyphs are acquired through working through dungeons. Some can even be found in certain World Tier 3 zones. It is important to note that glyphs can only be used by players who have created a root-dungeon of the same level of depth.
To use a Glyph you must first create it with components and then connect them via anchors. Then, the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths in the same layer. If you don’t want build the glyph from components, you can create it by using a combination of paths and anchors. Drag an element in the direction of a component highlighted to lock it into the right spot.
Certain glyphs require certain requirements to be met, such as 25 Dexterity in a specific area on the Paragon Board. Some glyphs require a specific number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which can also be difficult to achieve. Some glyphs have a radius, which increases as you move up.
item upgrader are able to be applied to many different weapons and items, with the exception for those of a specific class. Some of these glyphs have conditions, such as having a certain amount of Dexterity or Attack damage in a specific location on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph boosts the chance of preventing enemy attacks by 5%. It also has a chance of 15%, making the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
There are also a few glyphs that can be added to tools that are limited-use, such as the Black Lion Chest or Trading Post. Adding item upgrading will count towards the Combat Mechanic achievement.
The most popular glyphs are the attack glyphs which increase the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat amount. These glyphs are especially beneficial for classes that rely on weapons that are ranged, like Warriors or Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph which makes enemies that hit the Hero susceptible to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are tokens that are used to reroll one of the results that are rolled when performing an Action. They are discarded when the reroll occurs. Reroll tokens can be gained through a variety of ways, including through raids, dungeons and skirmishes. They can also be bought in the store or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons and trials, since they allow players to roll the rewards from the chest at the end.
For items at the level 1, there are values for recycling points. The upgrade gauge will increase by a specific amount of points when you recycle an item. This is based on the rarity of the item as well as its level. The upgraded item also will not keep its level when rerolled and the cost to recycle an upgraded item increases as its level increases.
The player can also use reroll tokens in order to roll an item. However, this will not bring back the item’s original stats or level. This is a great option for players who wish to reroll an item they don’t love but still want to keep it in their collection.
There are three different types of upgrade tokens in the game: reroll random, and upgrade. Each type has a few subtypes. For example, reroll tokens are available in three levels: enhanced, rare and legendary. Each requires a product of the level of its respective to make a new item with the same quality.
To make use of reroll tokens click on the Satanic or Angelic item in inventory and select “Reroll Token”. Then, choose a type of token. The available tokens are Item, Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns, and Focus. Using an Item token will produce an entirely new Item of any kind. Making use of the Weapon or Misc token will result in a new weapon from the same faction.
The item may be upgraded to a different item with the same stats but is at a higher level. This could happen if the item is in the Non-droppable Pool or has been transferred to it as part of a Franchise Card.
